SMALLMOUTH BASS CARVING & PAINTING CLASS
The photos shown were taken of the carvings completed during the NFCG Smallmouth Bass carving/painting class which ws held in Corvallis ORegon in May and August of 2009. The carving instructor (in May) was Dan Patterson and the painting instructor (in August) was Jeff Compton. 5 days were required for each of the classes and were attended by a total of 15 carvers from Oregon, Washington and California. You'll note from the ephotos that some of the carvings are not complete. In some cases the carvers chose to leave the paired fins for later insertion after painting and travel home. Two carvers were unable to make the painting class are are identified as such in the class photo, below.
